PURPOSE

To consolidate children’s knowledge of sounds and letters in reading and spelling words with consonants that blend together, and multi-syllable polysyllabic words. Practise blending for reading and segmenting for spelling. This is not a list work on slavishly or randomly but one selected based on key learning objectives.
